(Please scroll down for english version) Das Buch zur Triennale der Photographie Hamburg 2018. Searching for Change´´ greift die 7. The book to the 2018 Triennale of Photography Hamburg. Every three years since 1999, this large international festival (with ca. 80 exhibitors and over 300 artists) presents an overview of contemporary developments in artistic and documentary photography. The large Hamburg exhibition institutions (Kunsthalle, Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe, Deichtorhallen, etc.) participate in the Triennale with their own exhibitions. The book´s subtitle is also the contextual focus of the event curated by Krzysztof Candrowicz. The world in the twenty-first century is characterized by constantly accelerating processes of change; mankind is currently undergoing an enormous phase of upheaval. Digitalization, climate change, waves of migration, population explosion, and globalization demand new solutions and ways of thinking. Under the motto ´´Breaking Point: Searching for Change,´´ the seventh Triennale of Photography Hamburg takes up this debate. What answers can artists contribute to the discussion? What are the tasks of photography? The works collected in this book as well as the texts by the authors and museum curators have taken up these challenges and reflect on the subject of the ´´breaking point´´ in a manner that is highly complex, imaginative, and inspiring.

Searching Out the Headwaters:Change and Rediscovery in Western Water Policy Sarah F. Bates, David H. Getches, Lawrence MacDonnell, Charles F. Wilkinson
Just in time for the kickoff of the 2012 presidential campaign, Joe McGinniss, the author of the classic account of the packaging of a presidential candidate, The Selling of the President; of the acclaimed search for the essence of Alaska, Going to Extremes; and of the best-selling study of the dark family secrets of an American patriarch, Fatal Vision; presents his already controversial investigative chronicle of Sarah Palin as an individual, politician, and cultural phenomenon. Based on McGinniss´ on-the-ground reporting that began in late 2008 (which yielded an April 2009 Conde Nast Portfolio cover story) and continued with his return to Alaska in 2010, this book is a startling and penetrating examination of the illusion and reality of Palin - and a probing look at the Alaska and the America that have produced her, and the country she feels she is destined to lead. The Rogue delves deeply into Alaska´s political and business affairs and Palin´s political, personal, and family life to chronicle how and to what extent Palin and her beliefs, attitudes, and outlook will influence and even change life in America and the perception of America abroad. 1. The first few bodies didn´t attract that much attention. A young girl camping oceanside with her parents is ravaged by an invisible killer. A ghost ship with a crew of dead men is found adrift off the coast of British Columbia. Two divers fishing for abalone die gruesome deaths, setting their boat aflame in an attempt to escape...something. But when a noted marine biologist drops dead in his bathroom shortly after documenting a group of disease-ravaged sea lions, oceanographer Brock Garner is called in to piece it all together before the body count mounts higher. As the unknown killer moves stealthily toward Seattle, Washington, Garner and a hastily assembled team begin their hunt. Searching the ocean, they find that the decaying bodies of new victims rising to the surface begin to shed light on a deadly organism. But someone on Brock´s team would prefer that the full answer remain undiscovered, even if thousands, maybe millions, more must die. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Jameson Parker.
